Some Pieces #3: To You
I have found love in the simplest and smallest things: it is love when you're willing to accompany me through this silent road, slow journey of mine; it is also love when you give your time to witness me growing inch by inch, although the time you have is limited.
I have found love in the simplest and smallest ways: it is the way your words give me solace and calm to whatever storm I am sailing in; it is the way you choose your words, the way your sayings always hit right on the spot whenever I hesitate to choose between two choices. "Give it a go," you said, or those wise words that encourage me to take chances in many things because we have promised ourselves not to live a life full of regret.
I have found love in the simplest and smallest gestures: it is your smile—the way you squint whilst laughing.
Like the wind blows grey clouds, your presence drifts fear away. It takes a glance for me to spot you in a crowd; zero blink to recognize you among the odds. You alone are more than enough to make me realize that I am beyond thankful to have you this year, this moment, holding me tight with those hopeful wishes and honest words.
I've found love in you, in us, in the way we are growing together, in that pinkie promise we made last winter: no matter how, let's grow, and be better.
